Some Questions - Guild Wars Forums

1) Is chatting in town range limited or can you hear someone talking clear across the other side of town?

2) Can whispers be heard no matter where you're at, even if you're in a quest and they're in town?

3) How do I give Gwen a repaired flute? I remember returning her broken flute and I've given her a flower, but I can't give her a flute.

4) Are 'precious' items anything special or you just get more from selling them?

1) It's limited. If it wasn't I wouldn't be playing this game. It would be too annoying.
2)Im guessing so, because it's specifically to them, it's how it normally works. But don't hold me to that ^^
3)Buy her a new one? 4gold from the trader in first town. Stood near exit, talk to Gwen and she will ask for your shiny new flute.
4)Never thought of them as anything more than worth cash. Maybe they do have significance. Only one way to find out right?

Every time I talk to Gwen, despite having the new flute, she just says she'll follow me or stand where I tell her to stand (like a good little girl, mwuahaha).

Well let me remember now.
I bought the flute. Tried to give it to her and she just said she would follow me. I went off and killed some River Skate with her behind me....then i clicked on her again and she mentioned the flute. Erm, I was standing IN the river if that helps? I dunno. Must be one of those undefinable situations.

1. You can hear everything anyone says in he same district as you.
2. Yes, except if they're in a loading screen.
3. If you've partied up with someone who has already given Gwen a flute then she already has one and doesn't need another one.
4. Precious items are just worth more. (Less now than in the Beta though

)
